HWHO Humanitarian Relief Fund
Every penny given helps to make more tomorrows for those in need
High Wycombe Helping Others is a Humanitarian Relief Group established in September 2015 in response to the fallout from the war in Syria.
HWHO as a group has grown rapidly due to word of mouth, the wonders of social media and the desire of our community and other like-minded communities to help others, both nationally and internationally, who are in need of life-saving aid.
HWHO has now become a hub for donation collections via other groups around the country, with containers being loaded from the High Wycombe site and sent to countries across the world.
Your much appreciated donations will be used at the discretion of our Administrators for our humanitarian relief charitable objectives; from purchasing life-saving aid to transporting it where it’s required most at any given time.
Every single penny we raise, without any doubt, helps save lives
With funds raised we are able to buy items at a very competitive bulk rates to send off in containers around the world in answer to humanitarian relief needs.
We are also able to buy specialised equipment that would not be available to the general public, such as vital medical equipment; there is an on-going need for such equipment in countries ravaged by war.
When donating via our fundraising page or via bank transfer, if you wish your donation to be used for a specific objective then please ensure that you reference this; we treat these donated funds as ‘specified funds’.
All donated funds which are not referenced are deemed as being for our Humanitarian Relief General Fund and as such monies are used by the Administrators to ensure we meet the most urgent needs of our on-going appeals and associated logistics costs in getting that aid to where it is most needed and as swiftly as possible.
High Wycombe Helping Others is a Restricted Fund under the Auspices of Prism the Gift Fund, Charity Number 1099682. we are able to collect Gift Aid from UK tax payers. Gift Aid is prioritised towards logistics (e.g. transport of aid; containers, pallets, fuel, van hire) and administration costs (white sacks, stationery, promotional printing costs, etc). Any Gift Aid which is surplus to logistics and administration costs goes into our Humanitarian Relief General Fund.
